Foam models: Lightweight, stable and cost-efficient

Is your draft design in proportion? To better assess consistency with the design during the early stages of development we produce a model made from lightweight hard foam. Foam models are an especially cost-effective way of turning CAD data into something which can be experienced haptically.

Our proprietarily developed frame technology helps us create the foam models, which not only optimises the workflow but also saves materials and cost.
Model surfaces are generally given a matte varnish, depending on the density of the foam, thereby lending glass surfaces, headlights and rear lights a different tone to set them apart.
Foam models are often a preliminary step and form the basis for the creation of a more time-intensive and realistic hard model.
